You'll need to manage your fuel on the Blue Mountain Scenic Byway (Forest Service
Roads 52 and 53). There is name brand premium gas in Heppner. Station open 7 days
a week. And premium gas in Sumpter, 75 miles away. No gas in between except for
Pacific Pride in Ukiah. A good rule of thumb for motorcycle touring in Eastern Oregon
is to never pass up a gas station, especially on Sundays or Holiday weekends.

There's a nice little park that you wouldn't know was there if you didn't ask someone.
Just up the hill from Depot Park is this nice view of the Strawberry Mountains.
They have some rolling stock here that used to run on the Sumpter narrow gauge
rail line.
And a museum. We didn't go in but admission is only $3.
