2020 Edition
This road trip was taken during the scamdemic of 2020. The year that
the commie Democrats intentionally destroyed the US economy, unlawfully
took away our constituional rights and freedoms and pretty much destroyed
America as we knew it.

These images were made with my Nikon D810 camera and my
Zeiss Planar T* 50mm F/1.4 ZF.2 manual focus Lens.
So my plan was to give Julie her best birthday celebration ever....
Taking her on a great and memorable road trip and winding up in Winslow,
Arizona for her birthday. I so wanted to take pictures of my favorite
model standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona.
But...... didn't work out that way.
Covered a lot of ground, saw a lot of things and took a lot of pictures
before I got to Winslow.... but I did arrive mid-afternoon on 8/29/2020
so I definitely could have taken pictures of her standing on the corner
in Winslow Arizona as I wanted.
But..... she didn't want to go..... I can't even remember the last time
we weren't together for each of our birthdays. Oh well.... nothing
lasts forever, right?
I had my tripod set up waiting for the perfect light. I guess people
thought I was a professional photographer because quite a few of them
asked how much it cost to have me take their pictures. Huh.... I did
take about a gazillion pictures of various people with their cell phones..
...I hope my good karma comes back my way some time in the future.
And I also took a lot of pictures of myself because, as the song says,
unless pigs start to fly and Julie comes running back to me and we
wind up going to Winslow on some future birthday, I will for certain
never be here again. This day was definitely bittersweet for me.
Had dinner at a brewpub right around the corner that evening. The
waitress was exceptionally nice to me..... much more so than the way a
really good waitress treats you. She was very cute and about the age
my granddaughter might be so it was pretty much 100% that her kindness
towards me was because she was just a nice person. I briefly wondered
if my HP put us together so I could get a picture of us standing on
the corner in Winslow Arizona. But...... my heart really wasn't in
it and I didn't want to embarass her or put her on the spot by asking.
I know who I wanted to be with at that moment and while this very nice
girl was young, cute and even pretty hot, it just wouldn't have
been the same.
