The obligatory stop in Rainier, Oregon. It was mighty cold this
morning! 24 degrees when I left the house.
We visited
Oysterville in 2011 and
Fort Columbia in 2010.

Turned out to be a lovely day in Oysterville thanks to The Eloise Company
Spraying plenty of GET LOST! all over Long Beach before we got there. Thanks
Eloise!
Got to meet and visit with the renown Author Sydney Stevens who is the
foremost authority on Oysterville history and lore. We already knew a
lot about the area thanks to her books and chatting with many locals
who we've met there over the years. Sydney is an engaging storyteller...
wondering if she has any Sailors in her past.... she filled us in on
some current local intrique that was interesting and amusing. Very much
enjoyed our visit this time although past visits to Oysterville have
seldom been boring.
