The Douglas Hollow School isn't too difficult to find if you ignore the
misleading and sometimes totally incorrect directions you find on the Internet!
The Doulas Hollow School is located on Wrentham Cutoff road which is a compacted
gravel road. The school may actually be located in Emerson.... not clear from
the map I have. A County map will DEFINITELY be a big help here!

Wrentham Cutoff Road is about 8 miles long. The school is at the very top of a
rise with a spectacular two mountan view. The school is a lot closer to the
paved road not too far from Fairbanks, Oregon.

We came from the Nelson House which is on Emerson Loop Road. From that direction
turn rght on Wrentham Market Road and then left onto Wrentham Cutoff Road.
Wrentham Cutoff Road looks a little intimidating.... steep, narrow incline but
it quickly widens and smooths out. I wouldn't be eager to take a heavy motorcycle
out there but the road is well graded and lacking sharp rocks that will slash up
your tires.

I took these images with my Nikon D810 and my nifty fifty lens. VERY difficult
lighting conditions. Bright sun. Deep shadows. Dark building. A LOT of reflection
from the fields. A few puffy clouds would have helped a lot.

You're definitely in the middle of nowhere out here. Must have been a lot more
desolate and remote 100-something years ago.
