These images were made with my Nikon D810 camera and my
Zeiss Planar T* 50mm F/1.4 ZF.2 manual focus Lens.
This turned out to be more of a Winter wonderland, snow tour than a
foliage ride although the views were very lovely. Bright, sunny, bluebird
day although pretty cold and sometimes windy.
I was out here a few times in the 1980's and 1990's. But back then
I was taking pictures on 35mm film, not digital. If I ever have the
energy to dig up those old prints I may scan a few and post them here.
Back in those days Athena was a little jerkwater burb in the middle of
nowhere. And being a one-cop town any Biker showing up on a Harley
would attract a lot of attention from the local Billy Bob deputy.
I got followed around a LOT!
