These images were made with my Nikon D7000 camera and my Rokinon 85mm,
f/1.4, manual focus lens.








If you look closely you can see a tow line on the point boat as
they start to navigate the hazardous rock-lined entry into port.
Couldn't tell if this was just a training exercise or if the vessel
was actually dead in the water. She had her bilge pumps running so
perhaps it was just a drill. The skipper of the boat under power
was really doing the hokey pokey after they tethered both vessels
together in the tiny waterway in front of their berths.




It was a nice Spring day but a bit too cold for standing around
waiting for gray whales to show up.






It was a lot nicer at Cape Meares.
