Today isn't the first peanut butter sandwich Thanksgiving for us and I guess it
won't be the last (assuming I'm still above ground come next November). I thought
peanut butter holidays were behind us but apparently not.
Ell's bummed ... no Mudder, no Eloise at Christmastime, no turkey dinner to take
credit for. But, she does have her tin of Planters cashews so there is that. Plus,
things will be a lot better when the Daughter Formerly Known As The Jeep sends a limo
to take us to her wonderful home in Vermont, as I know she's going to.
An interesting sidebar.... Calamity John, the nitwit in my BCEP Class who announced,
"I'm not afraid of anything" took a header off the
Mount Hood Hogsback yesterday.
Yes, this is the same guy who signed up to do Mount Rainier but couldn't even do Elk
Mountain (el 2,200') and caused the whole team to abort the Elk-Kings traverse. Not
that accidents can't happen but... I don't refer to him as Calamity John for nothing....
He's the character I try *VERY* hard not to be like.
