At the request of the organizer, these images were taken in jpg mode (not RAW)
with minimal post processing (minor cropping and exposure adjustments only). For
all intents and purposes, these images are right out of the camera.
Taken with a Nikon D810, no flash, harsh backlighting from large windows and
overhead lights. And as you can see, although I was the guy with the professional
camera, most of the subjects were posing for relatives holding a cell phone :)
Not exactly optimal shooting conditions.
Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 manual focus lens...my "nifty fifty".
Most Photographers hire themselves hot, gorgeous, young models. I
have to say that in all my many decades of pursuing photography, doing
weddings, landscape and architecture scenes, this shoot was my very
favorite. These ladies were absolutely delightful. I had such a good
time talking with them and documenting this lovely day for them. I only
hope that I was a good enough photographer to capute their inner and
outer beauty.
