This trail report starts at the top of Heartbreak Ridge, just before you enter the
saddle. For information on how to get here and/or to the trailheads, click HERE

For this hike, we started at the Shelli Lane, Carpenter Creek parking area.
Headed up the traditional Aldrich Butte Trail and then over to Heartbreak Ridge.
It took about an hour and a half to get to the Heartbreak Ridge Kiosk which was a
three mile hike, and became fairly steep once we got to the Aldrich turn off. This
is a lot better (IMO) than doing the traditional hike which starts at the Bonneville
Dam Trailhead.

Return to Table Mountain on August 21, 2011

We actually made it to the top of Table Mountain this time so I'll show some out of
sequence pictures of us at the summit to get the ball rolling so to speak.
We felt really good about making it to the top this time (post holing and all...)!

Meanwhile.... back at the viewpoint at the top of Heartbreak Ridge....

You can see the recent Greenleaf slide in the foreground

Here's a good view of the Greenleaf slide.

Climbing those rocks at the end of the saddle was tiring. But we actually got to
the top a lot quicker than I anticipated.
