The Spring Hollow Bridge is on the way to the Balm Fork Pioneer School
The Balm Fork Pioneer Schoolhouse is easy enough to find if you have a good
County map, persistence and good navigation skills. Just take Upper Rhea Creek
Road to the very end... it's a partially paved but mostly gravel road. When you get
to the very end, the road forks into two much more narrow roads. The remains
of the Balm Fork Pioneer School is out of view, just past the cattle guard on the
road that forks to the right.
The structure is in very bad condition and likely won't be standing much longer.
These pictures were taken with my Nikon D810 and nifty fifty lens.
As usual, the sun was often blaring directly into the lens and in some
locations it was impossible to move to a more favorable lightling position.
