This is not the Eightmile, Oregon in Morrow County.

This little burb is easy to find. Take Eightmile Road off of
Highway 197 about 5 miles south of The Dalles. Turn right onto
Japanese Hollow Road. You'll see the Eightmile School almost
as soon as you make this turn. The Eightmile Cemetery is across
the road from the school.

If we make it to Eightmile, Oregon in Morrow County, this will be the link to that information. If not, go to the main Ghost Town page.

Eightmile, an unincorporated community in Morrow County, Oregon, United States,
is on Oregon Route 206 (the Wasco-Heppner Highway). The town was named by pioneer
ranchers after its location on Eightmile Canyon, which was so named because its
mouth was about eight miles up Willow Creek from the Columbia River. Eightmile
post office was established in 1883 and closed in 1941.
